Why work with us
Every application needs these four things
Upload it or send a link. Short is fine, missing is not.
Your own work for the role you apply for: photos, reels, accounts, courses, shoots you organised.
At least some real experience in this exact role. Junior is welcome; zero experience is not.
Why you fit our team, and what you already know about us — look at our work and our sites first.
Applications without all four are not reviewed. You work with us as an independent professional (freelance).
Roles we're hiring
01Shoot ProducerPriority · junior welcomeOrganise our shoots from booking to delivery: people, places, gear, timing and the client — so every shoot day runs without surprises.
What you do
- Plan each shoot end to end: date, location, crew, gear, call sheet, timing, and what the client must prepare.
- Book and brief photographers, videographers and assistants; make sure everyone knows where to be, when, and with what.
- Talk to clients before and after the shoot: confirmations, missing details, follow-ups and delivery dates.
- Keep our production system up to date — every shoot, status and deadline visible to the team, nothing left in someone's head.
- Be on set when it matters: run the schedule, solve the small problems, keep the client relaxed.
- Work next to our producer and learn the whole production line of a studio that runs 300+ shoots a year.
What we look for
- Real experience organising shoots — photo, video, events, film sets, agency or in-house. Junior is fine, zero is not: tell us exactly what you organised.
- Very organised: you hold many moving parts at once and nothing slips.
- Clear, polite written English with clients and contractors.
- Working French, spoken and written: many of our clients write and call in French.
- You close loops without being reminded and stay calm on a full day.
Nice to have
- Experience in a photo/video studio, production company or events agency.
- Luxembourgish, German or Portuguese.
- A driving licence and your own car.
Test task — Plan a sample shoot week (about 1 hour)
We send you three invented shoot bookings with overlapping dates, two photographers, one shared gear kit, and some missing client details. Build a simple plan: who shoots what and when, the conflicts you spot and how you solve them, and the exact questions you would send each client. Then write two short client follow-up emails, one in English and one in French. Any tool is fine (a spreadsheet or a doc). Invented data, no real client work.
Deliverable: One document or spreadsheet: (1) the week schedule with crew and gear, (2) the conflicts and your fix for each, (3) open questions per client, (4) two follow-up emails, EN and FR.
02SMM Manager / Content MakerPriorityRun the Instagram presence of a five-brand photo and video ecosystem — plan, produce, caption, publish and report.
What you do
- Run the content calendar across our brand accounts (@lux.photo.pro and the other brand handles): plan the month, schedule, keep each feed consistent.
- Write captions in each brand's voice: clear headline, scannable lines, a small set of relevant hashtags.
- Edit short-form video (Reels) from our shoot and behind-the-scenes footage — cut, pace, caption, ready to post.
- Read the numbers every week — reach, saves, followers, top posts — and change the plan based on what they show.
- Work with the production team so real shoots turn into a steady flow of posts, not one-offs.
What we look for
- Experience running real accounts — show us accounts you grew or managed (for a business, a brand or yourself), not only single posts.
- Short-form video editing for social: CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
- Clean, structured writing in English, no filler.
- You read analytics and act on them: you can explain why a post worked or didn't.
- Self-organised: you keep a calendar and ship on schedule without being chased.
Nice to have
- A photo/video background or a strong eye for how images sit in a feed.
- Running several brand accounts at once.
- French.
Test task — One Reel + one carousel from our own footage
We send you a small pack of our own behind-the-scenes material (stills + one short clip, no client work). Build a one-week mini-plan for @lux.photo.pro, then make two posts from the pack: a Reel (15–30 s, paced, captioned on screen) and a 3–5 slide carousel. Write a caption for each. This is a skill sample on our own material, kept small on purpose, and we don't publish it.
Deliverable: The two finished posts (Reel as a file or link, carousel as images), both captions, and 3–4 lines on your content angle and the first number you would watch. About 2–3 hours.
03Lux Photo Club TeacherTeaching experience requiredTeach at Lux Photo Club: photo walks, workshops, course lessons and meetups for beginners, hobbyists and content creators in Luxembourg.
What you do
- Lead photo walks around Luxembourg: route, theme, live tips on light and composition, feedback on the spot.
- Run practical workshops (studio light, portraits, night photography, mobile photography and more).
- Teach lessons of our courses for beginners and intermediate photographers, in English.
- Give honest, kind feedback on students' photos and help them make the next step.
- Work with our Club manager on the calendar, and later build a course of your own if you want to.
What we look for
- Proven experience TEACHING photography: courses, workshops, walks, private lessons or classes you have actually taught. If you have never taught photography, please don't apply for this role.
- A strong portfolio of your own photography.
- You explain clearly and simply, and you enjoy beginners — patience is part of the job.
- Fluent English (our courses run in English).
- Evenings and weekends work for you (most Club events happen then).
Nice to have
- French or Luxembourgish.
- A speciality you love teaching: film, street, portrait, night, mobile, editing.
- Your own following or teaching material.
Test task — Teach us one thing (about 1–2 hours)
Record a 3–5 minute video in which you explain one photography idea to a beginner (for example exposure, light direction or composition) — your phone is fine, we look at how you explain, not at the production. Then sketch a plan of a 2.5-hour photo walk in Luxembourg City: route, theme, what you teach at each stop, and what the students take home.
Deliverable: A link to the video, plus the walk plan on one page (doc, PDF or plain text). Add links to courses or workshops you have taught before.
04Junior Photographer / Photographer AssistantJuniorAssist on our shoots, learn our standards on set, and step by step take your own briefs — weddings, portraits, events, business.
What you do
- Assist our photographers on set: light setup (Godox), gear, reflectors, backup shots and behind-the-scenes content.
- Shoot as a second photographer at weddings and events, with a clear shot list.
- Grow into your own smaller briefs — portraits, headshots, events — under Andre Mitin's art direction.
- Hand over files cleanly: selected, labelled, backed up, on time. (Editing is done by our office team, not by photographers.)
What we look for
- Some real experience: your own paid or unpaid shoots, assisting, or second shooting. A few is fine — none is not.
- A portfolio that shows clean composition and correct exposure.
- Basic knowledge of flash / off-camera light, and the wish to learn more.
- Your own camera, reliable and on time, happy to follow a brief and a house style.
Nice to have
- Fujifilm system experience.
- Wedding or event experience.
- French, and a driving licence.
Test task — Three-frame light test (1–2 hours)
Shoot three frames of any subject you have at hand (a person, a product, a small still life): one with a single controlled light source, the same subject relit to a different mood, and one available-light frame of your choice. Your own gear and subject, no retouching needed. We look at light, exposure and composition, not at the subject.
Deliverable: Three full-resolution JPEGs plus 2–3 lines: the light setup for each (source, modifier, position) and what you were going for.
05Junior VideographerJuniorFilm with our team on business, event and wedding shoots, assist our senior videographers, and grow into your own projects.
What you do
- Film second camera and B-roll on business, event and wedding shoots.
- Assist on set: light, sound, gimbal, gear, behind-the-scenes clips.
- Shoot short vertical content (Reels) to a shot list.
- Hand over footage cleanly: organised, labelled, backed up, on time.
What we look for
- Some real experience: projects you filmed yourself, assisting on sets, or second camera. A few is fine — none is not.
- A reel or links that show stable shots, correct exposure and clean audio.
- Your own camera, and the wish to learn a house style instead of improvising your own look.
- Reliable, on time, calm on a busy set.
Nice to have
- Gimbal or drone experience.
- Basic editing in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere.
- French, and a driving licence.
Test task — One subject, three angles
Pick any subject you have access to — an object, a room, a person — and film it as a short brand clip: one wide establishing shot, one medium shot with controlled movement, one detail close-up. Any light you have, but show intent. No client work, no brand needed.
Deliverable: A 15–30 s vertical (9:16) edit of the three shots, plus the three raw clips, as a link (Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer).
06AI Content CreatorNewCreate images and short videos with AI tools for our brands and clients — alongside our real shoots, never pretending to be them.
What you do
- Make AI images and short videos for social media, ads and websites of our brands and clients.
- Extend real shoots: new backgrounds, formats, product scenes, motion from stills — always matching the client's look.
- Keep a library of prompts, references and settings so results are repeatable, not lucky.
- Label AI work as AI and keep real people's faces and client material safe.
What we look for
- A portfolio of AI images and/or videos you made yourself — show the tools and the process, not only the final picture.
- Hands-on experience with current image and video models (for example Midjourney, Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, Flux or similar).
- A real eye for photography: light, composition, skin, products — you spot what looks fake.
- Basic editing in Photoshop, Lightroom or a video editor.
Nice to have
- Photo or video shooting experience.
- Motion design or 3D.
- Experience making content for brands or ads.
Test task — One product, three scenes
Take one product photo of your own (anything on your desk) and turn it into three AI scenes for a brand's Instagram: one lifestyle, one studio, one seasonal. Then make one 5–8 s vertical video from one of them. Note the tools you used.
Deliverable: The original photo, the three images, the short video, and 3–4 lines on your tools and process.
07Art DirectorNewShape how our shoots look before the camera comes out — mood, styling, sets and references — working directly with Andre Mitin.
What you do
- Prepare the visual direction of shoots together with Andre Mitin: moodboards, references, colour, styling, props and locations.
- Plan sets in our studio and on location, and brief the photographers, videographers and the producer before the shoot day.
- Be on set for key shoots and keep the look on brief: styling, posing direction, details.
- Check that what we deliver fits the client's brand and our own house style.
What we look for
- A portfolio of shoots, campaigns or editorials where you led the art direction, styling or set design — say clearly what was yours.
- A strong eye for light, colour, composition and styling in photography and video.
- Some real experience in this role (agency, magazine, brand, fashion or events). Junior is fine — none is not.
- Clear communication: you turn an idea into a brief that others can follow.
Nice to have
- French.
- Moodboards and layouts in Photoshop, Figma or Canva.
- Experience with weddings, corporate brands or restaurants.
Test task — One brief, one moodboard (about 2 hours)
Pick one of our services — a corporate headshot day, a brand shoot for a restaurant, or a couple portrait session in our studio — and prepare its art direction: a moodboard of 8–12 references, the colour palette, styling and props, the set or location plan, and a shot list of 6–8 frames. Use public references only, no client material.
Deliverable: One PDF or link (Figma, Canva, Milanote…) with the moodboard, palette, set plan and shot list, plus 3–4 lines on why this direction fits the client.
08Video EditorTurn raw footage into finished Reels and short promos that match the Lux Photo Pro style guide, every time.
What you do
- Edit Reels and short promos (15–45s) from existing footage: select takes, cut for pace, place the hook in the first 2 seconds.
- Apply the LPP grade (Fuji Classic Chrome / Provia look) so output matches our style guide across projects.
- Add clean subtitles: sans, white with outline, timed to speech.
- Cut sound, music, and motion to hold attention end to end, and prepare correct exports for Instagram, TikTok, and client delivery.
- Work to brief and deadline, and ship consistent results across a high volume of short-form edits.
What we look for
- Proven short-form editing for social: a reel/portfolio of Reels or vertical promos you cut yourself.
- DaVinci Resolve: confident with the edit page, color, and delivery settings.
- Strong sense of pacing and timing for a hook-led first 2 seconds.
- Ability to follow a fixed style guide for grade, subtitles, and format instead of improvising your own look.
- Reliable to brief and deadline, organized with footage and exports.
Nice to have
- Motion graphics or simple animated titles in Resolve (Fusion) or After Effects.
- Basic color grading skill to match a reference look from scratch.
- Sound editing or licensed-music workflow for short-form.
Test task — Short-form edit test (30–45 min)
We send you a small sample pack from our own / behind-the-scenes footage (no client material). Cut one vertical Reel, 15–30s, in DaVinci Resolve: pick the takes, build a hook in the first 2 seconds, cut for pace, add subtitles (sans, white with outline), and apply a grade in the Classic Chrome / Provia direction. We give you a one-page style reference. This is a sample to show your skill, not live client work, and we don't publish it.
Deliverable: One exported vertical MP4 (1080×1920) plus the Resolve project file. Optional: two or three lines on your cut and grade choices.
